Frequently Asked Questions
1. What types of furniture do you specialise in?
We specialise in handcrafted solid wood coffee tables, side tables, and bespoke interior joinery. Every piece is custom-made in our Heckington, Lincolnshire workshop using premium hardwoods such as American White Oak, American Black Walnut, and American Ash.
For smaller handcrafted items and gifts, visit our Etsy Store.
2. How do I order a custom piece of furniture?
Because our furniture is tailor-made to your required measurements and timber choices, orders begin with a conversation rather than an online cart:
- Get in Touch: Submit a inquiry via our Contact Page with your rough dimensions or design ideas.
- Quote & Design: We will provide a detailed quote and discuss material options.
- Deposit & Build: Once approved and a deposit is placed, timber selection and crafting begin in the workshop.
3. How long does a custom piece take to make?
Our standard lead time is 4 to 8 weeks from design approval and deposit payment. Because each piece is handcrafted from raw timber, timeframes vary depending on design complexity and current workshop capacity.
4. How does delivery work?
Peter personally delivers and sets up custom furniture anywhere in the UK mainland. Your piece is placed directly in your home, with care instructions provided in person. Workshop collection in Heckington, Lincolnshire is also available.
5. How do payments work for bespoke commissions?
We accept payments via direct bank transfer or card invoice. Typically, a 50% deposit is required to secure raw timber and schedule your build, with the remaining balance due upon completion prior to or on delivery.
6. Can I return a bespoke item?
Custom furniture built to specific dimensions and finishes cannot be returned for a change of mind once construction has begun. However, because Peter hand-delivers each piece, you inspect the furniture in your home upon delivery to ensure complete satisfaction.
7. How do I maintain my solid wood furniture?
Every piece is finished with high-quality, durable hardwax oils designed to protect against everyday use while highlighting the natural timber grain. Detailed care guidelines are provided upon delivery, and light maintenance with dedicated wood oil will keep your furniture looking pristine for a lifetime.
8. How can I get in touch to discuss a project?
